Freddy’s New Hair
Less hair for sure. He is reallyyyy short. Shorter than what the groomer and I both wanted, but it was necessary. Matting is a real thing. I keep on top of brushing him. So, how does this happen? We have had so much rain and water is a contributor to matting. Its certainly not neglect. He loves weather. It doesn’t matter if it’s raining. He wants to be in it. Of course I don’t walk him in a thunderstorm, but I allow him to be a dog. Kids should play hard and get dirty. I love that the groomer put a hot pink and black zebra tie on him. How perfect, right? Retro. I love the 80’s.
While Freddy was at the groomer I went on a bit of a birthday shopping spree. It’s his 1st birthday! His favorite toy is his Captain America shield I found at Dollar Tree. I replace it when he wears them out. Yesterday I hit the Captain America shield jackpot! There were six of them. He’s set for a minute. He’s really great at catching the shield like a Frisbee. I picked up a flexible frisbee for one of his presents. We have been playing frisbee at the dog park. We will keep working on that - and my throw. The ball he will bring back to me, we are still training with the frisbee. He likes to run with it.
I was talking to Allison yesterday about what she wanted to do for her birthday. She is 31 today! Pal wants to do an early lunch at Mellow Mushroom so we are all meeting there before Kait has to be at work. She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s got a surprise! I also went to Michael Kors yesterday. The intention was to get her a new tote - which I did and the wallet to match. I can’t help but check clearance. There was a flamingo pink hobo bag! I couldn’t believe my eyes! So I bought that too. Normally when I find something like that I excitedly text my girls like “lookie what I just scored!” I couldn’t do that yesterday, but I did show it to Kaitlyn. I’m not even going to carry it today, because she’ll know. I thought it would be cute to put her other gifts in a gift bag that looks like a purse and be like you said you wanted a new bag! And then surprise her with it. Not sure how I’ll pull it off, but her smile with be the best!
